Our guides answer the questions business owners ask us before an automation project: what it costs, which tools to use and whether it will pay for itself. This page explains who writes them, where the numbers come from and how we keep them accurate.

Who writes our guides

Guides are written by the Designswheel automation team: the people who scope, build and support client automations in n8n, Make.com, GoHighLevel, AI agents and AI voice agents. They are published under the company name, and Designswheel is accountable for every figure in them.

We write from the same work we quote and deliver, so a guide reflects what a project actually involves, including the parts that cost more than people expect.

Where our prices come from

Build prices are the ranges we quote clients, and they match the prices on our service pages. If our pricing changes, the guides and service pages change together.

Running costs (automation platforms, AI model usage, call minutes, messaging fees) come from each vendor's published pricing page and are checked on the date shown as “Updated”. Prices in pounds, Canadian dollars and dirhams are rounded conversions from US dollars at the time of the update.

Ranges are ranges for a reason: the final price of a project depends on its scope, and we confirm it in a fixed quote after a free automation audit.

Sources we use

We prefer primary sources: vendor pricing and documentation pages, and official regulator and government pages for rules on calls, messaging, data and tax (for example the ICO and GOV.UK in the UK, and the CRTC and the Government of Canada for Canadian rules). Each guide lists its main sources at the end.

Regulatory information in our guides is a summary to help you plan, not legal advice. Check the official source or ask a qualified adviser before relying on it.

Examples, estimates and results

Worked examples, such as payback calculations, are labeled as examples and use stated assumptions you can replace with your own numbers. Calculators on this site give planning estimates, not guarantees.

Case studies describe real client projects. Client names and staff details are removed to protect confidentiality, and we only publish result figures the client has confirmed.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help research, outline and edit. A member of our team checks every price, figure and claim against its source before a guide is published or updated.

Independence

Designswheel sells automation services, and our guides say so. They also say when doing it yourself or hiring a freelancer is the better choice. We don't accept payment from software vendors to be mentioned or ranked in a guide.

Updates and corrections

We review pricing guides when a vendor changes its prices or a rule changes, and update the “Updated” date whenever the content really changes.

If you spot an error, email info@designswheel.com with the page and the correction. We check it against the source and fix confirmed errors promptly.
